Hyper Japan 2012 !

I attended the Hyper Japan event in London on 

Sunday. It was so packed with loads of different

aspects of J-Culture. I think the venue is now too

 small for the huge following it has

gathered over the years. Hopefully it can be in 

a bigger place next time !

Random Pretty Things

MAC NC42, NARS Syracuse= Missha #31 BB Cream?

Hmm well not quite as you can see ! Unfortunately this shade is still too light
& it is the darkest BB cream there is from a Korean brand so far.
It almost matches but it is a bit too light and pinky toned. It makes me look
washed out/ashy ! Lol : ) Ah well ! A little pump of your normal
or maybe even a darker foundation will do the trick if you still want to try
this BB Cream ! It does perfect the skin especially for when filming - it makes you
look flawless ! It also minimizes pores & is very opaque. A little goes a long way !
I wish it was a bit darker and more yellow/warm toned. I think I am on the darker side
of the NC42 spectrum so it could work for some !

Asos Beauty Insider Event !

I got invited to my first event ! Yayyy ! I've been going to a few these days
such as Paul & Joe, Smooch Cosmetics, Ciate and the one I blogged
about previously. But, those were all through my job.

It was at the HQ & was SO amazing. Im glad I had the opportunity recently to
go to other events because I had something to compare the Asos beauty insider
event to. OMG - it was frikkin amazing ! We got to go behind the scenes
to take a peek at the new beauty collections by many cool brands such as Benefit,
Nars, Illamasqua, Nails inc, Ciate etc ! I actually went to the Asos event
straight after the Ciate event in Oxford circus. It was a very busy night !

Stylesuzi, Britpopprincess etc ! (Blogger Event)

Omg you guys ! Yesterday I attended a blogger event called "Beauty and the Brain"
There was a panel discussion & britpopprincess, fashionrocksmysocks, stylesuzi
and wandesworld were up on stage answering questions. It was such a cool
experience & so amazing to see them in real life ! Not only that but we got to film all the
girls and interview them privately ! They were all so pretty & nice in real life.
They all spoke so well considering there were loads of people in the audience ! I would have
been soo scared ! There was a Q&A session with the audience as well and my coworker asked "What was the weirdest comment that you have received?" Their answers were quite funny !

My new fav youtube channel

I am loving the youtube channel Vice ! If you havent checked it out definitely
do so ! They go EVERYWHERE making documentaries about random,
obscure or dangerous topics. I love how they go off the beaten path and deliver
raw interviews with people that have even committed crimes. Its so interesting how
they go so deep into the culture and dont just report on topics we already know about.
They seem to have no fear. Ive learned tons ! They also open your eyes to some insane
social injustices and extremely disturbing things going on in the world. For example
about how there are actually slaves in Dubai building the amazing hotels and massive
buildings. Wtf ?!

Here is one freaky/interesting one I watched recently. Drugs are truly ruining the world.



These vids are a treat when you are bored and just wanna watch something interesting...

My Daily Makeup

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation - Tahoe 

 Great Coverage, Lovely Finish.Perfect Foundation for everyday use ! 

MAC Studio Finish Concealer NC42 

Full Coverage concealer amazing for covering dark scars on the face and sculpting the

 eyebrows. Has a drier finish than other concealers so dont use too much.

Might not be the best for under the eyes. 

MSF Powder in Medium/Dark 

This is the powder that I use to set my makeup. Honestly I dont get the hype. 

Next time ill opt for a drugstore powder. Its definitely decent

but nothing insanely good. I really did enjoy my true match powder just as much.

Im going to use it up - dont wanna waste it as it was quite expensive ! 

Loreal Super Liner - Perfect Slim 

Decent liner with a good brush. Intensely black. Does rub off a bit after a while. 

Will opt for  a trusty Japanese one soon. I like Japanese ones the best but for now

I do use this one everyday. I also love Blacktrack Fluidline.

Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil - Dark Brown

Really good pencil for a cheap drugstore price ! Its not too sheer or too pigmented !

 I dont have sparse brows so I use a light hand with this but if you are someone with 

sparse brows - you could  definitely get a dark enough colour.  Love it :)

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara

I bounce between this one and the Max Factor False Lash Effect. Max Factor

do some good mascaras ! I really love both for voluminous, lengthened & seperated

lashes that dont look all clumpy and crazy. 

Miss Tangerine Follow Me Tint

Here is my trusty Etude House tint. I love my tints for day to day wear. 

I always put a tint under my lipsticks ! 

Here are the 3 brushes I use for my base makeup every day. I use the definer brush by Real Techniques to shape my brows - something I never used to do as

 I didnt know wtf I was doing. But, now Im getting the hang of it :D I was cursed with 

weird massive brows. I use the fluffy ELF Complexion brush for powder and blush

and the Real Techniques buffing Brush for my liquid foundations ! 

Sleek Au Naturel Palette 

Staple palette for loads of people ! It has light highlighting shades,  cool shimmery

 shades...a lovely matte brown which could also be used for brows

and an intense matte black which is useful in any palette. Its definitely

a HG product for me ! Ive dropped it loads of times and the shadows never cracked ! 

I use it almost everyday... seriously. I love it ! I love Sleek as a whole really.

Drugstore Foundations I bought recently

Dream Nude Airfoam - Sun Beige

4/10 

 Very Light coverage...Dont like the finish on my face.

After smooshing the foam down theproduct is very liquidy and thin.

Sun Beige is a bit too light for me but the next one down was too dark. 

Nothing much to say about it really. The foam is fun but Im not going to be using

this anytime soon. Could be nice if you are looking for something with

very light coverage. 

Bourjouis Healthy Mix Serum - 58

6.5/10 

Nice dewy/natural finish ... not enough coverage for my face though.

 Lovely smell. Would be perfect for people with rather good skin. 

This is #58 and its slightly too dark on my face. Doesnt last for more than a few hours

 on my slightly oily skin.  The #58 in the regular  foundation gets a 8/10 and its a great color

 match. The serum is darker than the foundation. I finished a bottle of the regular foundation

and will be repurchasing soon. Wont repurchase the serum or use it often.

Sleek New Skin Revive - Praline

7.5/10

I really like this foundation. Very natural finish - not dewy or matte. 

You do get  medium coverage up to an extent but your own skin does 

show thru a bit. Its very smooth because of the silicone base. However, silicone 

can break people out being that the skin cant breathe. I did

get 2 pimples a few days later after using it for the first time. Not 100% if

it was from the foundation or not.
